Terms of Sale
1. About These Terms
These Terms of Sale apply to all purchases made through our website or by direct arrangement with Blaze Artworks. By placing an order, you agree to be bound by these terms. Please read them carefully before making a purchase.
2. Products and Services
Blaze Artworks specialises in custom airbrushed motorcycle helmets. Our products include pre-designed helmets available in our shop and fully bespoke custom-painted helmets created to your specification. We also offer a custom repaint service where you can send us your own helmet for a personalised redesign.
3. Ordering Process
When you place an order through our website, you are making an offer to purchase. We will confirm acceptance of your order by email. A contract between us is formed only when we send you this confirmation. We reserve the right to refuse any order at our discretion.
For custom or bespoke orders, we will agree the design, colours, and any specific requirements with you before work begins. Once the design has been agreed and work has commenced, changes may not be possible or may incur additional charges.
4. Pricing and Payment
All prices on our website are displayed in GBP (British Pounds) unless otherwise stated and include VAT where applicable. We accept payment by Stripe (credit and debit cards), Klarna, and bank transfer. Full payment is required before dispatch of pre-designed helmets. For custom orders, payment terms will be agreed at the time of ordering. Prices are subject to change without notice, but any changes will not affect orders that have already been confirmed.
5. Custom and Bespoke Items — No Refunds
All custom airbrushed helmets are bespoke, made-to-order products created specifically for you. As such, they are exempt from the standard 14-day cooling-off period under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.
Once production has begun on your custom helmet, we are unable to offer a refund or cancellation. This is because each helmet is individually hand-painted to your agreed specification and cannot be resold. By placing a custom order, you acknowledge and accept that the item is made to your personal specification and that the right to cancel does not apply.
6. Pre-Designed Helmets
Pre-designed helmets listed in our shop are also hand-painted, unique items. Due to the bespoke nature of our work, these items are also non-refundable once purchased. However, if a pre-designed helmet arrives damaged or is significantly different from the listing, please contact us within 7 days of receipt and we will work to resolve the issue.
7. Delivery
We offer worldwide shipping. Delivery times vary depending on your location and the type of order. Pre-designed helmets are typically dispatched within 3–5 working days. Custom orders require additional production time, which will be communicated during the ordering process. Delivery times are estimates and not guaranteed. We are not responsible for delays caused by customs, postal services, or other circumstances beyond our control.
Risk of loss or damage passes to you upon delivery. If your order arrives damaged, please contact us immediately with photographs of the damage.
8. International Orders
For deliveries outside the United Kingdom, you may be subject to import duties, taxes, and customs fees imposed by your country. These charges are your responsibility and are not included in our prices. We recommend checking with your local customs authority before placing an order.
9. Warranty
All our helmets are painted using professional-grade automotive paints and finished with a clear lacquer for durability. We stand behind the quality of our work. If you experience any issues with the paintwork under normal use within 12 months of purchase, please contact us and we will assess the situation and offer a suitable resolution. This warranty does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, improper storage, exposure to chemicals, or normal wear and tear.
10. Painting Process and Helmet Safety
Blaze Artworks uses professional-grade, water-based paints and compliant materials throughout our painting process. All products used meet relevant health, safety, and environmental standards. Our preparation process is carried out with great care to ensure the helmet shell is not compromised, weakened, or structurally altered in any way.
While we take every reasonable precaution to ensure our painting process does not affect the structural integrity or safety certification of the helmet, Blaze Artworks cannot be held responsible for the performance, failure, or structural integrity of the helmet itself. Helmets are manufactured by third parties and their safety performance is determined by the original manufacturer's design, materials, and construction. Our work is limited to the external decorative finish.
By placing an order, you acknowledge that Blaze Artworks is not the manufacturer of the helmet and does not warrant or guarantee the helmet's safety performance, crash protection, or compliance with any specific safety standard following the painting process. We strongly recommend replacing any helmet that has been involved in an impact, in accordance with the manufacturer's guidelines.
11. Your Helmet, Your Responsibility
If you send us your own helmet for a custom repaint, you are responsible for ensuring it is in suitable condition for painting. We will inspect the helmet upon receipt and notify you of any concerns. If we determine that the helmet is not suitable for painting (due to age, damage, material incompatibility, or any other reason), we will inform you and may decline the work.
Blaze Artworks is not liable for any pre-existing defects, damage, wear, or deterioration to helmets sent to us for repainting. We are not responsible for the age, condition, or ongoing safety certification of customer-supplied helmets. By sending us your helmet, you accept full responsibility for its suitability and fitness for use after the painting process is complete.
12. Intellectual Property and Design Rights
All designs, artwork, and creative concepts produced by Blaze Artworks remain our exclusive intellectual property, whether the design was originated by us or developed from a customer's brief. This includes, but is not limited to, original artwork, colour schemes, design compositions, and any artistic techniques applied during the painting process.
We reserve the right to photograph, film, and display all completed work on our website, gallery, social media channels, marketing materials, and any other platform at our sole discretion. We also reserve the right to withhold any work from public display without explanation.
If you do not wish your completed helmet to be featured publicly, you must notify us in writing (by email to info@blazeartworks.com) before work begins on your order. Requests made after work has commenced or after delivery may not be honoured.
Customers may share photographs of their own helmet for personal, non-commercial use. However, customers may not use images of our work for any commercial purpose, resale, or to imply endorsement without our prior written consent.
13. Disputes
If you are unhappy with your order, please contact us at info@blazeartworks.com and we will do our best to resolve the matter. These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
